Terms of Service
Last updated October 25, 2026.
These terms govern your use of the HeyAlbert website and service. By starting a trial or subscribing, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the organization you represent.
The service
HeyAlbert provides research and intelligence about affluent Indian-origin individuals in the United States, compiled from public sources, along with search, analytics, news, exports and related services. See what the service includes.
Trial and subscription
A 2-day free trial is available once we confirm your use case. After the trial, the service is offered as an annual subscription at $1,500 per year, billed in advance. Optional add-ons include phone support ($500 per year). Meetings, events and bespoke reports are priced separately. Subscriptions renew annually unless cancelled before the renewal date.
No refunds
After the 2-day free trial and sign-up, we do not offer any refunds — no pro-rata refunds and no refunds for unused months. See our Refund Policy.
Usage limits
Exports are limited to 100 records per month and 1,200 records per year. CRM exports to Salesforce or Zoho are limited to 1,200 records per year. Accounts are for the named user and may not be shared.
Acceptable use
You agree to use HeyAlbert lawfully and respectfully. You may not:
- use HeyAlbert as a consumer report or as a factor in decisions about credit, insurance underwriting or eligibility, employment, housing or tenancy, or any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. HeyAlbert is not a consumer reporting agency
- use information to harass, stalk, threaten or discriminate against anyone
- use contributor information derived from FEC reports to solicit contributions or for commercial purposes, or otherwise violate campaign-finance law
- send marketing in violation of CAN-SPAM, the TCPA, do-not-call rules or state law
- resell, republish or bulk-download the data, or scrape the service (access through an authorized HeyAlbert connector is not scraping)
- attempt to identify or contact minors
Fair use and acceptable use
This section applies to every use of the service and forms part of these terms. Where an order form or your plan sets different limits, the order form or plan controls for those limits only.
1. License and named users
Subject to these terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license for your named users to access and use the service for your internal business purposes during your subscription. Each seat is for one named individual. You may not share login credentials, allow more than one person to use a seat, or let anyone who is not a named user access the service or its data.
2. Result limits and quotas
Searches display at most 250 records at a time. Dossier views and exports are subject to daily and periodic quotas per seat, as set in your plan or order form, including the export limits stated under Usage limits above. We may change limits for new subscription terms, and we will post changes to these terms.
3. Prohibited conduct
You may not, and may not permit anyone to:
- scrape, crawl or harvest the service, or access it through bots, scripts, browser extensions or other automated means, other than through an authorized HeyAlbert connector under section 4;
- systematically download or copy data, or circumvent or attempt to circumvent any limit, quota, rate limit or access control;
- run successive or overlapping searches or filters ("filter slicing") to reconstruct all or part of the database;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the structure, source code or underlying data of the service, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- use the service or its data to build, train, enrich or maintain a competing product, database or service;
- sell, resell, rent, lease, redistribute, sublicense, publish or otherwise make the data available to any third party;
- upload, input or transfer the data to any third-party artificial intelligence, machine-learning, data-enrichment or data-brokerage tool or service, except through an authorized HeyAlbert connector under section 4.
4. Authorized HeyAlbert connectors
HeyAlbert provides official connectors that let you use the service from inside AI assistants and agents, including our MCP server, our API and our AI-assistant apps (for example, connectors for Claude, ChatGPT or your own AI agent). The restrictions on automated access and on third-party AI tools in section 3 do not apply to access through an authorized HeyAlbert connector, provided that:
- access uses your own personal API key or sign-in, issued to one named user. Keys may not be shared, and each key belongs to that named user's seat;
- connector use is subject to the same plan limits, quotas, rate limits and fair-use caps as the web app, and counts toward them;
- neither you nor the AI tool you connect uses HeyAlbert data to train, fine-tune or otherwise improve any artificial intelligence or machine-learning model;
- HeyAlbert data obtained through a connector is not redistributed, resold, published or added to any other database; and
- outputs your AI tool produces from HeyAlbert data, such as summaries, briefs and draft emails, remain subject to these terms, including the permitted-use, privacy, anti-spam and Fair Credit Reporting Act restrictions in this section.
Only connectors that HeyAlbert provides, or approves in writing, are authorized connectors. Connector access is logged and monitored like the web app, and we may suspend or revoke any key or connector access if we reasonably believe it is being misused or shared.
5. Permitted use
You may use the service and data only for your own internal business purposes, such as research, prospecting, relationship management, events and planning, in compliance with these terms and applicable law.
6. Monitoring and audit
Access to and use of the service is logged. We may monitor usage to enforce these terms, and we may use tracing techniques, including seeded or watermarked records, to detect misuse. On reasonable request, you will provide information needed to confirm your compliance with these terms.
7. Consequences of misuse
If we reasonably believe you have breached this section, we may throttle, suspend or terminate your access without refund. You will be liable for damages caused by the breach, including actual damages and, where permitted by applicable law, liquidated damages, and we may seek injunctive or other equitable relief, since a breach may cause harm that money alone cannot remedy. On termination for breach, or at our request, you will promptly return or destroy all data obtained from the service, including copies, and confirm that you have done so.
8. Respect for the people in the data
You will use the data in compliance with all applicable laws, including privacy and data-protection laws, anti-spam and telemarketing laws such as CAN-SPAM and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and fair-lending laws. HeyAlbert is not a consumer reporting agency, and the data is not a consumer report. You may not use the service or its data, in whole or in part, as a factor in determining any person's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment or housing, or for any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
9. Retention and deletion on termination
When your subscription ends for any reason, your right to use the service ends. You will promptly delete data obtained from the service from your systems, except where applicable law requires you to retain it, in which case these terms continue to apply to the retained data.
10. Changes to limits
We may update the limits and quotas in this section. Changes take effect when posted to these terms, or for existing subscriptions at the next renewal where a change would materially reduce your limits.
Accuracy
We work hard to make every fact accurate and cited, and we label estimates. Public sources can be wrong or out of date, so HeyAlbert is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Verify important facts against the cited sources before relying on them.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Termination
We may suspend or end access for any breach of these terms, including misuse of the data. You may cancel at any time to stop your subscription from renewing; cancellation does not create a refund (see the Refund Policy).
